Following on from the success of the two rounds of “5G Campus Application Competition” held in 2023 and 2024 respectively, the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) organises a new round of “5G Campus Application Competition” under the theme “5G x Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) – The Sky is the Limit for Knowledge” (the Competition) this year. Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has been appointed as the co-organiser of the Competition. All Hong Kong secondary school students are invited to participate in this Competition.
Key Objectives of the Competition:
- To enhance the understanding of Hong Kong secondary school students regarding the enormous potentials of 5G technology and its extensive innovative applications benefiting and improving the learning environment, local community and daily life.
- To enhance students’ learning ability in science and technology, and encourage them to explore the potentials of 5G technology and applications in the low-altitude economy in creating smart living experience.
- To foster students’ creativity, collaboration skills, problem-solving techniques, as well as innovative thinking; and to encourage students’ active participation and career planning in the development of advanced technology industries in the future.
- To transform the community into a platform for learning, experimenting, and showcasing new ideas.
